Televes has paticipated in the Fed4FIRE program, which has given the opportunity to use one of the biggest platforms in Europe for experimentation and research for the Internet of the future. Televes has launched the new DigiMod, a clever domestic modulator that allows you to convert any analog signal in A/V (Audio/Video) format, or any HDMI source into another DTT channel. The applications are endless, as signals from sources like CCTVs, cameras, analog VCRs, DVD or Blu-ray receivers, etc. can be incorporated to all televisions in the home as another DTT channel, which will enable viewing of the content anywhere in the home. Televes has received approval from Dish Network (http://www.dish.com/) -one of the main TV Satellite Operators in the USA, with 14 million subscribers- for its Watermarking solution on its suite of Clear QAM Encoders. Watermarking is the process of hiding digital information to verify the authenticity or integrity of the signal or to show the identity of its owners. Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Regional Policy, visited Televes headquarters yesterday and received a guided tour of the fully automated manufacturing line that Televes has deployed for the production of their range of DTT antennas, which received funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). One of the most prestigious specialist magazines in satellite TV reception in Germany has certified the excellent quality of the range of QSD dishes. The Satellit Emfang + Technik magazine awarded this Televes product 88 points out of a possible 100, giving it a rating of “very good”. Satellit’s analysis focuses on the QSD 75 model and highlights its main virtues as its finish, easy installation and the signal reception quality it provides. The report published in the magazine includes the conclusions of the analysis of two other dishes of similar characteristics from another two prestigious manufacturers. The United Kingdom has become Televes’ third largest export market, thanks to the success of the company’s UK subsidiary (Televes UK) in the sale of RF filters, which prevent potential interference in the home between new generation mobile signals (4G) and digital terrestrial television (DTT). Televes recently took part in London in an encounter for companies with a presence in the UK market promoted by the Regional Government of Galicia. At this forum it was revealed that the UK is an increasingly important destination for Galician exports, showing an increase of 24% so far in 2013.
