Televes launches a new range of transmodulators to customize the distribution of channels with content from different satellites
Televes is launching a new range of transmodulators with remultiplexing that allows personalized distribution of content from up to three different transponders received via satellite (DVB or DVB-S2). This means that facilities such as hotels, hospitals or nursing homes can customise their own choice of TV channels, which can be modified without retuning TV sets.
Transmodulators DVB/S2-COFDM CI and DVBS/S2 – QAM CI feature a common interface slot to use a conditional access module (CAM) and thus decrypt the contents of one or more existing services within the satellite transponders.
Both modules are remotely configurable and monitored by means of a headend management module. Moreover, they allow editing of the service identifier (Service_ID). The installer will be able to change the available channels in a facility without the need for retuning the TV sets. This characteristic facilitates maintenance work in special facilities such as hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
The new transmodulators have been developed by Televes Corporation’s Research & Development Department and manufactured at company facilities, under the demanding quality standards that make the Televes brand an international reference in the broadcast, reception and distribution of radio-television signals.
