The main galician newspaper, La Voz de Galicia, has published an extensive report on the IPTV television distribution system deployed by Televes in the Dhammaakaya temple, in Bangkok. With capacity for more than 100,000 people, this temple is one of the largest religious centers in Thailand. It is located in the north of Bangkok, on a 791 acre property, and is the reference point of the Buddhist followers of the same name. It was built in the 80s as a symbol of peace for mankind. For this extraordinary complex, Televés has designed and deployed a telecommunications infrastructure that includes distribution of television services over Internet Protocol (IPTV), viewing points in all areas, CCTV, public address sound system and access control system. The temple has its own TV channel production, that has also been integrated in the project.
