Matthias Dienst, new Managing Director of Televes Corporation’s German subsidiary

Televes Corporation has appointed Matthias Dienst as the new Managing Director of Televes Deutschland GmbH, the Group’s Germany subsidiary. Dienst, who has extensive experience in the sector, will lead Televés’ growth strategy in the German market, considered strategic in the Company’s development plans. Dienst is joining Televes on 11th June. The growth of the German subsidiary will be based on Televés’ classic product lines, such as radio-television signal reception and distribution equipment, but also on new products, such as IP solutions. Televes is participating in the project to create the largest business-oriented ‘Cloud’ test platform in Europe

Televes has been selected to test its Digital Building and Home solutions on BonFIRE, the largest Cloud Test Platform in Europe, to carry out large-scale business-oriented experiments and tests. The BonFIRE Project (www.bonfire-project.eu) has a budget of around eight million Euros, and is financed by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme on Research and Technological Development. Televes launches a new range of transmodulators to customize the distribution of channels with content from different satellites

Televes is launching a new range of transmodulators with remultiplexing that allows personalized distribution of content from up to three different transponders received via satellite (DVB or DVB-S2). This means that facilities such as hotels, hospitals or nursing homes can customise their own choice of TV channels, which can be modified without retuning TV sets. Transmodulators DVB/S2-COFDM CI and DVBS/S2 – QAM CI feature a common interface slot to use a conditional access module (CAM) and thus decrypt the contents of one or more existing services within the satellite transponders. Televes launches transmodulator for digital satellite signals with automatic channel identification

Televes is launching the new DVBS/S2-COFDM transmodulator for digital satellite signals with S_ID control which allows the installer to change the channels present in an installation without the need to retune the televisions. This facilitates maintenance work in certain special facilities such as hotels, hospitals and residential buildings.  The Service_ID feature allows all the televisions and DTT receivers in a single installation to automatically detect content changes without requiring them to be retuned.
